08 Day Tour

Day 1: EUROPE/ALGIERS/TAMANRASSET

Scheduled flight from Algiers. On arrival at Tamanrasset airport, welcome by the agency's Tuareg team. Transfer to hotel or inn. Night in Tamanrasset.

Day 2: TAMANRASSET/ASSEKREM

After breakfast, preparation for the expedition and departure by 4X4 for the volcanic and mysterious region of the Blue Men (Tuaregs) on a track dotted with rocky peaks and offering prestigious panoramic views, culminating in the Atakor massif. This first morning will be devoted to the impressive and emblematic discovery of the Iharen peak.

On the way, we'll discover the "Aderni" tomb, dating back to the Neolithic period and located in the Oued Mezoulit region, as well as beautiful rock engravings and gueltas (natural basins). Arrival at the refuge in the late afternoon. Dinner in the evening and overnight at the refuge.

Day 3: ASSEKREM/HIRAFOK/IDELES

In the morning, after breakfast, departure by road to gueltas in the Tuareg village of Hirafok. Discover and contemplate the rock engravings of the Oued Zarzoura and Immara region.

We continue our cultural journey through the Irharrar wadi, which reveals rock engravings on rock panels all along the trail to Ideles. Arrive at camp at sunset. Set up camp, then dinner and overnight in Ideles.

Day 4: IDELES/TAZROUK

After breakfast, departure for Tazrouk via the Taderaz mountain trail.

Tazrouk is considered the hottest village in the Hoggar and is famous for its rich gardens and oases. Lush, miraculous vegetation flourishes permanently in the heart of a site preserved in its wild state and more restful than ever. We'll have lunch on the banks of Oued Azrou. In the afternoon, we'll visit the region, which undoubtedly offers us a rather unusual and surprising sight. We set up our bivouac facing the Aokassit, one of the most beautiful rocky peaks in the Hoggar. Dinner and overnight stay in Tazrouk.

Day 5: TAZROUK/TAHIFET/TAMEKREST

After breakfast, we set off for Tahifet via the Azrou pass. The impressive, steep track follows the course of the wadis. This early-morning expedition takes us to Tahifet, an imposing village set in a surprisingly verdant valley. Lunch will be served in this majestic and soothing setting. In the afternoon, we'll continue on to Tamekrest, where the water flows over a pink granite backdrop, adding a pretty seaside touch to this mineral world. Set up camp at the foot of the refreshing waterfalls. Dinner and overnight in Tamekrest.

Day 6: TAMEKREST/TAMANRASSET

Breakfast will have a sweet and pleasant taste as it will be taken with the sunrise. Departure by 4X4 on the track towards Tamanrasset. Arrive in the late morning and settle into a full-board hotel or inn. In the afternoon, we visit the town of Tamanrasset, nicknamed the Red City and capital of the Hoggar massif.

Day 7: TAMANRASSET

Day at leisure to discover the sights of Tamanrasset and do some shopping in the town's souks. Overnight at the hotel or inn in the heart of town.

Day 8: TAMANRASSET/ALGER/EUROPE

Breakfast at the hotel or inn. Afternoon or day at leisure in Tamanrasset, depending on your return flight schedule. Transfer, with assistance, to Tamanrasset airport. Scheduled flight to Algiers, then Europe.

Note: Possibility of bringing your own tent or, on request, renting a tent provided by the agency.
